O.B.I. is a German DJ and producer whose hard techno career reaches back to the early 2000s. His work spans club sets, festival appearances and a large production catalogue. That long connection to the harder side of techno places him across generations of the scene, from its established circuit to the current Schranz audience.

His sound brings driving beats and rough industrial rhythms together with melodic depth. The 2021 release Gib Mir Alles is a key point of entry into his productions. His performances in the collection also include shared sessions with NIKOLINA, where the exchange between two selectors adds another dimension to his solo approach.

O.B.I. plays hard techno and Schranz, combining driving beats with rough industrial rhythms and melodic depth. The rhythm is forceful, but melody and changing textures are part of the tension and release.

O.B.I. is Tobias Lüke, a German DJ and producer from Greven. His early development included a newcomer contest at Münster’s Fusion club and the TekkTribe events he began in 2002.

O.B.I. launched TekkTribe Records in 2003, following the TekkTribe events. He later founded Definition Of Hard Techno after the album and remix project of that name. Definition Of Hard Techno also grew into event showcases and a separate platform for production tools.
