Kobosil

Kobosil is from Berlin, Germany. He grew up in Neukölln, and the city's club culture helped shape his work as a DJ and producer.

Kobosil grew up in Berlin's Neukölln district and was already playing house and techno as a teenager. His first visit to Berghain in 2009 helped shape his direction, and he developed his early productions alongside friends including Somewhen and Nitam. A remix of Barker & Baumecker's Silo appeared on Ostgut Ton in 2013, followed by his Klubnacht debut that August. He later established R-Label Group as a platform for emerging producers; his current music releases appear through 44 LABEL GROUP.

His sound connects forceful techno and Schranz with the abrasive textures of EBM, noise and industrial music. Distorted voices, repeating basslines and heavy percussion bring a rough physical edge, while hypnotic synths and melodic fragments add depth. Darkness and euphoria meet in his 44 Rush Mix of Rosa Anschütz's Rigid, where the vocal and melody become the centre of an intense dancefloor arrangement.

In his sets, new techno sits alongside older records, with acid and industrial selections adding shifts in texture and pressure. Fast, driving passages build tension through insistent rhythm, then a voice or melody can give that tension an emotional release. This balance between sustained force and ecstatic peaks is central to his approach, connecting the darker detail of his productions with the immediate energy of the dancefloor.

Kobosil plays fast, forceful techno and Schranz with an industrial edge. EBM, noise and industrial music inform his sound; dark textures and repeating basslines sit alongside vocals and melodic passages that release the tension.

Kobosil is the founder of the music label 44 LABEL GROUP, formerly known as R LABEL GROUP. The imprint releases his music alongside records by artists including Rikhter, Somewhen and In Verruf.
