Golpe is from the Czech Republic. He is the DJ and producer Václav Bareš, who also works under the techno alias Broken Robot.

Golpe is Václav Bareš, a DJ and producer from the Czech Republic. He began playing Czech and Slovak clubs in 2005, appeared at Apokalypsa in 2007 and started producing his own tracks in 2008. His early releases followed in 2009. South American dates in 2013 and an Awakenings appearance with SveTec in 2015 widened his reach beyond the local scene.

His two names serve different sounds. Golpe is the hard techno and Schranz identity; he introduced Broken Robot when he began experimenting with techno in 2018. His work with SveTec connects both the DJ booth and the studio, including their track Let Me Show You Something on the Amoniaq EP. He has also described a residency with CUBE events.

Audiocode released his For John LP in November 2014. Later entry points include Nucleon’s 2024 Master At Work release, which pairs the original mix with a 2024 Rave Mix, and the five-track Amoniaq EP on Mad Made. He also appears with Obscure Shape on the title track of TILL I DIE, released by Gotec Label in November 2025. In a March 2025 interview, he credited support for Master At Work with renewed attention to his hard techno productions.

Golpe plays and produces hard techno and Schranz, built around forceful rhythms, distorted percussion and driving loops. Broken Robot is his separate name for techno productions; the two names describe different strands of the same person’s work.

Yes. They are two names used by Václav Bareš. In his own account, Golpe is for hard techno and Schranz, while Broken Robot began as a separate outlet for his techno experiments in 2018. A poster listing both names does not establish two different performers.
