ALT8

ALT8 is Irish DJ and producer Evan Marshall. Early exposure to his brother’s records and DJ sets led him into mixing hip-hop and dance music around Ireland; he began producing his own techno in 2019. His sound draws on early-2000s hard techno, combining industrial drums with groove, rave influences and melodic passages.

His releases include Hope in Darkness on Moments In Time, Nineninefour on Rave Alert and Mind Control on DYEN’s Reckless label. He has also remixed Rebekah and collaborated with Sara Landry on tracks including Heaven, Havana Bounce and Hands Up. His artist catalogue includes the original and Emotional Mix versions of Dopamine Junkie.
